Shine is shining :)
The Shine Reading Project started last week and is supporting 44 Year 7 and Year 8 students. We are so lucky to have 23 wonderful reading mentors who spend their free time in our library listening to children reading and having inspiring conversations with them.
We are hoping that Shine will help students become more confident readers and learners, with a life long love for books! 🙂
Conversation Cafe – time for games!
Last week we found out that cafe guests like playing games. Since then we have been making up stories using story cubes. Next week we will be playing traditional games from our home countries/family traditions.

Huge thanks to Theo Kmicicki who organised the Children in Need event in the Discovery Centre!
Theo dressed in onesie and kept silent for the whole day – but he still managed to run a cake store and a ruffle!
